Creative Photoshoot Idea

When McKenzie asked if we could do something similar to a post she saw on Pinterest involving paint—you bet I was immediately on board. This talented gal can turn anything into a magical oasis (aka the backyard of my apartment haha).

HOW TO:

  1. Grab your camera/tripod or your talented-friend-of-a-photographer (McKenzie in my case)

  2. Pick a color palette and start painting the side of your face with a thin and thick brush. (I even added lipstick just because I ran out of my burnt red paint.)

  3. Give the camera that smize and snap away!

So easy. McKenzie even brought some props to include like Smoke Bombs for that extra dramatic effect. After the shoot it was already about 11 am and I felt ready to tackle the world and reinspired to create. So having a creative friend who is willing to wake up at the crack of down and stand in itchy grass for you is worth it. Highly suggest getting a McKenzie in your life.

Mckenzie and I met a couple of years ago through mutual friends. I remember as soon as she sat down at the coffee table with me we were going to be good friends. Through the years she has supported me in my art and I love supporting her and sharing her name to the world! She did my senior pictures in May, which my whole family raved over for weeks—especially my grandparents who now have them strewn across their house, refrigerators, living rooms, etc.

Mckenzie is a light and gem of a human being. Not to mention a talented photographer who makes you feel like you are a legit model when she is snapping pics of you.

I am so thankful for her and our creative shoots together!

Hope this inspired you to create your own little shoot and to keep creating!

xx,

Shelby
